The tweet added that this small rotor craft covered a distance of 370 feet at a speed of 3.85 meters per second (8.61 miles per hour) and flew for 129.2 seconds.
Ingenuity landed on Mars’ Jezero crater in February 2021 with NASA’s Preservation Rover.
The pit contained a lake and river delta billions of years ago.

The solar-powered helicopter made the first five flights just to determine if the planet’s thin atmosphere could be used for aerial studies.
Ingenuity successfully completed those five flights and NASA soon expanded its mission.
