NASA Inspector General Paul Martin made the announcement to lawmakers during a House Space and Aeronautics subcommittee hearing on Tuesday (March 1).
Martin said during his introductory speech live that it would take time for the system to land and test NASA’s next-generation space suits for man landing on the moon. Staff landings by the company are likely to be possible by 2026.

These items have been complicated for many months by the rising cost of Artemis.
The first four Artemis missions are expected to cost م 4.1 billion each, according to a November 2021 audit by NASA’s Inspector General of Office.

Some of the extra budget is due to technical issues and some is due to protests and lawsuits by Blue Origin last year.
The news comes just days after Martin’s announcement regarding NASA’s Artemis 1.

But the agency has indicated that the timing is also questionable due to the large amount of data analysis and significant experiments.
